Our Mares

Peppys Bonna Leah (shown right) is a fine mare we've just added to our band. She's an own daughter of Peppy's Flyer a producer of Working Cow Horse money earners, and an own son of Hall of Fame great Peppy San Badger.
Bottomside she's a granddaughter to AQHA racing champ, Bar H Leo, and a great granddaughter to Leo. She has the lines we're looking for when crossed with our stallions and we're excited about future prospects. For 2008 we'll breed Leah to Smart Dance Tune. SOLD

Crazy Lil Peppy is an own daughter of Futurities Champion producer Cutaways Gun Crazy by Mr. Gunsmoke. Topside breeding includes Doc's Dee Bar and Rondo Leo. Her bottom goes to a Peppy San Badger / Doc Bar mare cross. This cross has produced many good performance horses. Lily's just an all around great mare.

Cashin In The Star is beautiful sorrel mare, seen below with her 2006 foal by Revue Hancock . She's a money winner with the NRCHA, and also a snaffle bit futurity winner. She's an own daughter of Cal Poly SLO's Smart Cash Cutter. Cash is an accomplished athlete and excels as a cutter. She has excellent bloodlines that include Doc Bar, Smart Cash Cutter, Doc Olena, Smart Little Lena, Miss Cash Cutter, Smart Peppy, and Mr. 89'er. This one's about as cowy as you'll find anywhere, and a great Mom, too. She's bred to Smart Dance Tune.

Our brood mares have been selected for their disposition, conformation, and pedigree. While topside breeding is important, we have chosen to concentrate on "mare power" as one of our key breeding themes. K&M mares have proven and productive bloodlines. When crossed with our stallions, our offspring will include important heritage links to Bueno Chex, Doc Bar, Smart Little Lena, Leo, Poco Bueno, Mr. Gunsmoke, Topsail Cody, Peppy San Badger, Peptoboonsmal, and Boonlight Dancer . We have own daughters of successful stallions and our breeding goal is simple...produce the most dependable Foundation quarter horse a rider can buy... whether for pleasure, ranch duties, or show competition.

Here's an own daughter of Royally Smart who is an AQHA Senior Cutting Champion and producer of NRHA and AQHA champions. "Sara" is a granddaughter of Smart Little Lena and Dual Peppy and her bottom side goes to a Three Bars mare. This is a very special mare that we are pleased to have in our brood band. She is bred to Doc Freckles Toy. SOLD

Due to an unfortunate injury to her new owner, we are pleased to announced we have re-acquired Sheza Shilo Jac for our ranch and broodmare program. We trained her since she was a yearling and Shy's one of the best young horses we've started and raised. Shy's an own daughter of champion reiner, Hes A Rascal Jac, and out of a Galapagos Cody Mare. Not only beautiful, she's athletic with great conformation, and will cross well on either of our stallions. We are excited about the future and have high hopes that Shy will be one of the cornerstones of our breeding program.
